I was laying in bed last night at about three a.m. thinking to myself, "why is it that I can take someone else's life and portray it in a beautiful photo, but I can not take my own life and portray it in a beautiful photo?"...with that thought that just seemed to repeat it self over and over I finally started to venture into the "if". "If" I was my own client and I wanted to be a part of the 52/1 project, what would I do for my portraits? For myself, I had no ideas that came to mind, but rather I had a thought for my husband. He helps me with the babies all the time and the babies just love to be with him in everything he does. That is who this man is. He is a father. Now how would I capture that in a photo that looked nice, but that was still true to who he is as a person in an everyday world? Simple really! As my husband sat playing video games, one climbing on his back and the other smacking the keyboard-I had it! That was it! I opened up the blinds on both sides of him and let all of the natural light in and voila! I am very pleased with the out come. This IS my husband....my husband being a perfect, loving, and loyal daddy to his babies....without losing who he is in the process haha.
Enjoy.
